Gold Heart Families

The Gold Heart Families are families who have experienced the loss of a child to sudden cardiac death and have helped to form a Bereavement Support Group through Young Hearts for Life. We offer support and assistance to others who have been affected by a similar loss as well as expert medical advice to families through our team of cardiologists.

Emotional Support

Telephone as well as group support is available to anyone  who has been affected by  sudden cardiac death of a child or young adult. Please contact us if you would like someone to call you or if you are interested in talking with our support group.

Medical Support

It is advised that all first-degree relatives undergo cardiac testing following the sudden cardiac death of a family member.  It is important that the family is seen by a cardiologist who is an expert in this area.  Young Hearts for Life can assist in arranging an appointment with a cardiologist who is an expert in this area.
