I first met Jim when his bank provided financial services for our practice Midwest Heart. He later agreed to serve on the board of Midwest Heart Foundation and later Young Hearts for Life providing valuable insight and advice to the programs.

Beyond his business acumen Jim was genuinely concerned about our community. He was involved in many community programs including YH4L. His dedication was demonstrated by his continuous participation on the YH4L board even in the face of failing health.

I was privileged to know Jim personally and admired his many virtues. He was kind, generous, tough, and a loyal friend. He did a great deal to promote the vision and mission of YH4L. The program will miss him. I will too.
