Pat was by far the best in the family for remembering important dates, such as birthdays, anniversaries, first day of school, leaving for college, etc. She had a way of making everyone feel special. The most important family members to Pat (next to Harry and Patrick), were the kids. Pat always showed love and concern for her nieces and nephews. Her heart held a special spot for her grandchildren, Daniel and Victoria. The Marek family established the Patricia Marek “Young Hearts for Life” Memorial Fund to honor Pat’s memory and the love she had for children. Pat had been a supporter of the Young Hearts for Life program since it started in 2006.

All proceeds from the Memorial Fund will be directed to the Young Hearts for Life® Cardiac Screening Program. The Program screens students at area high schools for heart conditions that can cause sudden cardiac death. All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
